ARTISTIC CARVINGS STERNBOARD EAGLE -
Original carved by Richard Orr in the 50's. He was the in-house woodcarver at the Mystic Seaport Museum. (There is one hanging on the ship carvers shop in the museum).
24" High, 82" Wingspan
This was on a house out here on Nantucket and came into the shop in 8 pieces. Paul reconstructed it with a full backplate and recarved any missing pieces.
It is finished in 23K gold and handpainted. Background color can be changed as well as a motto painted on the banner per the request of the buyer.
